Monash

Overview

Monash, named after General Sir John Monash, was proclaimed in 1921.

First established in the1960’s, the Monash Playground became a destination trip for many families until the park was closed in the early 90’s. The Monash Adventure Park was reopened in 1996 with safety issues in mind, the adventure equipment now includes leaning crazy towers, rope bridge, wave bridge, flying fox, see saws, slides, mega swings. mini basketball court and more. Explore the maze with its high walls and secret doorways to the little playground hidden inside. There’s also some accessible equipment including a liberty swing. Free admission, free barbecues, toilets and plenty of shady areas set among a meandering little 'creek' for a great family day out.

Opposite the adventure park is a chocolate factory and also a community club for bistro dining.
