Lake Vista - Barmera
Overview
Lake Vista is a temporary campsite on the shore of Lake Bonney. It is currently closed for repairs and rehabilitation. We kindly ask for your support and cooperation in respecting these efforts to restore the area.
We thank you in advance for not driving onto the beach areas or off any pre-made tracks.
During peak periods, Lake Vista opens with 15 unallocated campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply book your spot and choose the site that best suits your family.
This is a temporary camp area that is a plain nature reserve but overlooks the beautiful Lake Bonney and has direct access to the foreshore for fishing, swimming and kayaking.
You are just a short walk into town, skate park, eateries or playspace along the lakeside trail.
There is a Boat Ramp accessible next the Barmera Yacht Club, just 1.5km up the road.
You will need to be as self contained in your set up as possible, although there is a toilet and BBQ shelter in the adjacent Parkland.
Dogs must be on leash at all times
Location & Directions
Just 1.4km from Barmera town centre. Head North along Barwell Avenue turning right onto Nookamka Tce, next turn left onto Foot Avenue and then right into Queen Elizabeth drive. You'll find this site just under 600m on your left.
